Open panel discussion: the Kick-Off of the Science-Policy Knowledge Forum
On 22 June 2021, the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) e. V. and the FACCE JPI invite policy representatives, researchers, farmer groups or interested farmers, and knowledge brokers to a kick-off workshop and networking event on the topic of establishing a pilot Science-Policy Knowledge Forum in Modelling European Agriculture with Climate Change for Food Security.
The MACSUR pilot Science Policy hub which is a follow up to MACSUR 1 and 2 (https://macsur.eu/) aims to bring science and policy together to strategically design a response to climate change adaptation and mitigation challenges in the agri-food sector in Europe. With transdisciplinary and modelling approaches, the SciPol pilot will generate key lessons to establish and operationalize a science-policy knowledge forum.
As a launch event for the MACSUR SciPol project, a virtual public round table discussion will take place on 22 June, 09:30-11:00. The kick-off panel comprising stakeholders from research, policy, civil society and farmer groups will discuss the role of science policy knowledge hubs in addressing societal challenges in the agricultural sector in Europe. The opening panel discussion will be for public. To attend it, please register here.
